Hey all you Crew Cats and Cooligans. Welcome to CREWZINE!, a twice-monthly celebration of Columbus Crew and its supporter culture.

This inaugural edition kicks off with a soon-to-be-recurring feature: Guillermo Barros Schelotto’s Magnificent 7. Inspired by the maestro’s legendary vision, this monthly email consists of (you guessed it!) seven magnificent finds from the worldwide web.

Oh, also Guillermo Barros Schelotto’s Magnificent 7 comes out the first Sunday of every month, and submissions are welcome! Email us at [email protected] with pics, quips, rants, raves, criticism — whatever!

Alternate crests and kits are a dime a dozen. Which is why we’ll be showcasing the best and worst of the bunch here.

This one from August 2013 is inspired by Sheffield FC’s crest. It’s great (?) because it looks like the two men are humping a smaller crest within the crest.

7. Crew adds aliens to list of scum it’s survived

According to Luke Johnston on Facebook, if the movie “Independence Day” took place today, “these are the MLS teams remaining after the aliens … start destroying cities:
